Introduction

A certificate of liability insurance (COI) is a document which confirms that a business has sufficient coverage in case of personal injury or property damage. It’s vital for any new business, and it’s especially important in the food industry. Having this COI will help you protect your assets so that you can stay open for business after an accident.

Receive a purchase quote

In order to receive a quote, you will need to go to the quote tab and enter your information. Make sure that all fields are filled out accurately and click submit. You should receive a quote within 24 hours.

Log in to your account

  • Log in to your account.
  • Click on the Documents tab at the top of the screen, then click Certificate of Liability Insurance (COI).
  • Select your company name and country from the drop-down menus, and click Upload Certificate or Pre-fill with AutoFill Data if you have previously uploaded a COI or want us to fill in some information for you (see below for more details on how this works).
  • When uploading a COI document, check that all fields are filled out correctly before submitting it for approval by clicking Save & Send..

Visit the documents tab

To begin, log into your account. From there, you’ll want to visit the Documents tab and click on COI Document. Once you’ve clicked on it, a blue button should appear at the bottom of the screen with three options: Download Certificate, Print Certificate or Save PDF File. You can download or print these documents once they’re finished. Before doing so however, make sure that all fields have been filled out correctly by following these steps:

  • Press Ctrl+S (or Command+S if using a Mac) on your keyboard to save it onto your computer
  • Open up Adobe Reader and press Ctrl+P (or Command+P if using a Mac). This will open up “Save As.”
  • Navigate through each directory until you reach where you want this document saved; then type in what name you would like it saved under; finally press enter!

Sign and send your COI

When you are ready to send your certificate of insurance, click the “Sign and Send” button. The document will be sent to the email address you used to create your account. You will receive a confirmation email when the document has been sent.

  • You must have a certificate of liability insurance (also known as an “endorsement”) before you can legally provide your services to clients.
  • Your insurance company will provide you with this document, and they should be able to send it to your client directly if needed.
